The Symposion of Tank oder Teller (Fuel or Food) is a public forum that brings together artistic-scientific research and agricultural and agri-political practice. The panels curated by Amelie Befeldt, Emerson Culurgioni, Florian Fischer and Florian Wüst introduce a variety of topics to discuss them together with the audience: Land grabbing by financialized real estate companies is analyzed and contrasted by sustainable land policy. Farmers report on their experiences of transformation and the need to adapt to current economic and ecological changes.
Another panel discusses how animal and plant production, the analog media of photography and film and the image technologies used in agricultural science are connected. Finally, networking and infrastructures will be discussed using the example of the exploitative conditions of migrant labour in globalized agriculture as well as the future vision of remote-controlled robots in the fields.
